activities for the season October 09 thru' to September 2010.  Caps & t-
shirts will be provided for swimmers who did not attend the Ulladulla &
Narooma development day.
Proposed camp format will be arrival 1pm Saturday 7/11 at a venue yet to
be determined for afternoon DVD & video presentations on strokes, drills,
technique etc. followed by a  Q & A session.   Sunday will be spent at the

It's anticipated that our new Area Development Officer - Pia Farmilo of
Ulladulla will be in attendance & I will be in constant contact with her about
resources available from SNSW.
Attending swimmers & their families will be responsible for their own
accommodation & it's recommended bookings be made early due to a

Willoughby Meet Report
On Sunday 2nd August a small enthusiastic group of West’s
Swimmers and parents went on a trek to Willoughby to defend the
title and the right to keep the trophy for another year( conveniently
Ron left it back in the gong).
Our swimmers showed courage and good sportsmanship even
though they were outnumbered and PB’s were difficult to come by.
Everyone still managed to enjoy the lovely sunny afternoon and the
smell of the nice barbecue….  A great social and swimming
experience for all and we will be back next year to win that trophy
back. Thanks to all those who came along to swim support and
promote our club .As always a big thank you to Ron who was there
to provide last minute advice to big and small.
WE’ll BE BACK.

Our first time Country Representatives were Caitlin Smith, Kaitlin

personal best times. Congratulations.
Thanks to Lisa and AJ for showing great leadership and support to
all our swimmers.
We all enjoyed a fabulous team dinner which was organised by
Flora. A great time was had by all.
Congratulations to all swimmers who competed, many producing
personal best times. A very big thankyou to coaches Ron and
James and all parents for supporting the swimmers over the
weekend.

The first WIA invitational was a great success on the weekend with
all swimmers enjoying the different format and the chance for some
solid racing over a short time span.
The highlight of the day was the 50m skins event where the fastest
6 swimmers in each age from the 50m freestyle events competed
over a series of 50m sprints on a 2min interval cycle. The slowest
swimmer of each round was eliminated until only 2 swimmers
remained.   Congratulations to the winners listed below on some
great racing.

Thanks to James and his band of young cheerleaders with their
streamers and wigs.
Thanks to all the parents who helped out on the day with
timekeeping, recording and BBQ.
Special thanks to Bruce and Ian for giving up yet another afternoon
for starting and refereeing.  We could not do it without you.
